FRAM Filters and puraDYN Filter Technologies Inc. have announced an alliance that both firms claim will offer an integrated oil filtration system to their customers.

FRAM Filters are manufactured by Honeywell Consumer Products Group, which also includes the Prestone, Autolite and Holts brands and is a subsidiary of Honeywell Inc.
"Through this strategic relationship, our companies can offer end users in almost any industry application a full, integrated oil filtration system, using FRAM full-flow filtration and the puraDYN by-pass oil filtration system," said Kevin G. Kroger, puraDYN's president and chief operating officer. "The full-flow technology provided by FRAM filtration combined with puraDYN's small-particle filtration expertise provide added protection for vehicles. In addition, Honeywell Consumer Products Group brings excellent distribution coverage. These skills, coupled with puraDYN's technology in by-pass filtration, will yield enormous potential economic and energy conservation advantages for customers."
Honeywell Consumer Products Group will offer three puraDYN by-pass oil filtration systems, along with replacement cartridges and service parts, through its North American distribution network.
The puraDYN oil filtration system can be installed on any engine or hydraulic equipment. It has been designed and developed to enhance and work in conjunction with the full-flow filters while extending oil drain intervals.
"The puraDYN/FRAM relationship offers a complete full-flow by-pass filtration solution for vehicle equipment owners, just in time for the increased filtration requirements created by the new emission standards," said Richard C. Ford, puraDYN CEO. "Honeywell Consumer Products Group is an excellent business partner and adds value to end users as well as our established base of distributors including Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks North America, Paccar and North American Bus Industries Inc."
