Autocar introduced a web-based warranty system that gives its dealer network the ability to increase the speed and accuracy of the entire warranty claim process.

The system will be used by both full service and parts and service only dealers.
Dealers access the system through the www.autocartruck.com web site. The system uses Windows-based drop-down menus to query the user about the necessary claim information. In addition to claim submission, the system gives dealers service repair operation numbers and standard repair times.
“I am pleased to report that Autocar dealers now have the ability to process warranties any time the need arises, 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” says Herb Cooper, service and warranty manager for Autocar.
The new system also helps dealers keep track of repairs made to vehicles under warranty.
Autocar LLC was formed in 2001 when parent company Grand Vehicle Works Corp. purchased the Autocar name and the Xpeditor truck line from Volvo Trucks North America.
