Farmington Information Systems and IEG are making software packages available to small and midsize trucking companies for low monthly rent payments.

Farmington Information Systems of Marietta, Ga., is offering Internet access to the same risk management/claims, driver recruiting and safety software that is currently used by some of the largest trucking operations in the country. The software packages were developed by IEG of Oklahoma City, which makes non-industry-specific insurance software such as risk management and worker’s comp.
Small and midsize motor carriers can manage their accident, cargo and worker’s compensation claims by accessing the software for an inexpensive monthly rent payment and a one time set up fee. Driver recruiting and safety management software products can also be rented for just a few dollars more a month.
Properly used, these tools level the risk management playing field for smaller operations, according to the companies’ announcement. Management can now obtain the same understanding of the relationships between recruiting, compliance, and claims that was once available only to management at large carriers. Such information enables management to present themselves in the best light for increasingly difficult insurance renewal negotiations.
