A large industrial gases company is installing the Eagle Eye Obstacle Detection System in some of its trucks.

Transportation Safety Technologies, Indianapolis, announced the sale of 50 Eagle Eye Obstacle Detection systems to Praxair.
After extensive testing and evaluation throughout the United States, Praxair determined that the Eagle Eye system could greatly reduce backing accidents. Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, with more than 900 trucks hauling gases across the region. Other Praxair companies have also begun evaluating the Eagle Eye system also.
Praxair will initially install the system on 50 new International cylinder delivery trucks in its distribution fleet. The Eagle Eye system is being integrated into the profile of these new vehicles.
The Eagle Eye Obstacle Detection System alerts a driver to any object within 10 feet of his vehicle to help avoid colliding with it.
