Overnite Transportation Co. has lost another skirmish in its war with the Teamsters union.

The Associated Press reports that the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., denied Overnite’s appeal of an order by the National Labor Relations Board to begin collective bargaining with the Teamsters union at four disputed terminals.
Workers at terminals in Detroit, Buffalo, N.Y., and Lexington and Bowling Green, Ky., voted to be represented by the Teamsters in elections as long ago as 1995. Overnite refused to accept the election results, saying the union had threatened workers and that some votes were cast by ineligible employees. The NLRB ordered Overnite to abide by the elections, a decision the less-than-truckload carrier appealed.
A spokesperson for Overnite told the AP that the company has not yet decided whether or not to appeal.
