The Access Control Group, Mountainside, N.J., has introduced the VigilantG2 vehicle monitoring system for trucks, forklifts, construction equipment and other kinds of motor equipment.

According to the company, VigilantG2 monitors temperature, low fluids, low battery, brush wear, low fuel and more. The product records and sets off an alarm when parameters are exceeded. Users can set alarm thresholds through software. OEMs or dealers can program preventive maintenance schedules by hours or miles. Vigilant2 reminds the user to perform maintenance when it is due.
An optional impact sensor records and issues an alarm when a shock exceeds a user programmable level. GPS and a geo-fencing feature produce an alarm if equipment travels beyond a set area. Speed thresholds are also user definable and all parameters can be uploaded remotely office. VigilantG2 communicates over cellular networks.
Vigilant & VigilantG2 come with software that generates productivity and maintenance reports.
