Intra Technologies, formerly known as The IntraUSA Group, has announced an agreement with Lowell, Ark.-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services to begin retrofitting the trucking company's Freightliner Argosy tractors with Intra LVD's (low-voltage disconnects).
About 900 of these tractors will have this automatic switch that allows truck drivers to enjoy appliances and comfort items during key-off periods, while preserving battery power needed to start the engine.
Installation of the devices started in January is scheduled to be completed within the next few months.
