Atlanta-based GEOCOMtms has released version 2.0 of its a.MAZE routing optimization software for LTL and private delivery fleets.
A.MAZE includes the software products formerly known as tmsRouter, tmsZoneDesigner and tmsMaps.
The new version offers client/server functionality and what the company calls Real Time Feedback and Response – the ability to change routes as needed during operations. When a fleet receives notice of new pickups, for example, the system will accept, re-optimize and provide the most efficient schedules to trucks on the fly.
Enhancements also include fast geocoding and map access as well and the ability to handle a larger number of constraints, such as delivery appointments or “windows.”
"Most solutions in the market cannot handle the automation of constraint resolution, but rather force the user to drag and drop endlessly to try to find a solution," said Bernard Têtu, President and CEO of GEOCOMtms. "What we have just released will put an end to toying around with routing, and finally bring about the promised benefits of fleet routing optimization."
