With Olympic events at Snowbasin near I-84 in northern Utah now complete, the Utah Department of Transportation is advising truckers to use I-84 as an alternate to I-80
for travel through northern Utah during peak Olympic spectator travel times until the Games end the evening of Sunday, Feb. 24.
Using this recommended alternate route will help truckers avoid congestion caused by spectators traveling to and from Olympic venues.
For those who must use I-80 between Salt Lake City and Park City, travel westbound on I-80 from 4 p.m. to noon and eastbound from noon to 4 a.m. At all other times use I-84 as the alternate.
