Ohio truckers who are behind in their child support could lose their commercial driver's license.

The Owner Operator Independent Drivers Assn. reports that in a program coordinated by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, licenses of parents who are not current or have not kept up with child support orders will be subject to suspension. This includes all licenses, including commercial driver licenses.
In December, ODJFS began providing information to the BMV regarding potential license suspension. As of Jan. 14, 2002, 260 licenses had been suspended and 11 were reinstated.
