Logistics.com announced the rollout of OptiYield Driver&Load 6.0 and Drop&Swap 3.0, new versions of its flagship real-time truckload motor carrier optimization solutions.

New PC-based architecture eliminates the need for expensive workstations, and customer-requested enhancements make the systems faster and more powerful, yet easier to install and use, according to the company.
Drop&Swap and Driver&Load work hand-in-hand and optimize over 60,000 trucks each day. Driver&Load locks in the best possible assignments of drivers to loads while maximizing utilization, and then Drop&Swap monitors dispatched trucks to find definite opportunities for service improvements at low cost.
A major feature of both new versions is a redesigned ranking system that models the carrier's operations more accurately and accommodates new operational strategies quickly and easily. The ranking system is set up to understand where good and bad lanes are, so OptiYield can send drivers to regions where they're most likely to get their next load home.
Drop&Swap includes three components. The first is ETA Monitor, which tracks the progress of en route trucks and notifies the carrier of jeopardized deliveries. The second is Swap Finder, which suggests en route swaps to solve jeopardized deliveries or driver get-home commitments. The third, Capacity Creator, finds en route drivers with extra time on their loads who may be able to assist with pickup and delivery runs around terminals or rail yards.
Another new feature of Drop&Swap 3.0 is on-demand swapping. Now, any customer service representative or dispatcher can instantly call up recommendations to get any driver home, rescue a late delivery or provide capacity to move a load to or from a customer's yard.
