NSI Global's Vistar Datacom subsidiary will integerate its GlobalWave satellite communications system with Maddocks Systems' fleet management software.

The integration will allow truck fleets to be remotely monitored, managed, and controlled via the Maddocks TruckMate (TM4Win) software interface, according to the announcement.
Cancom Tracking, a Canadian reseller of Vistar's GlobalWave solution, is currently working with both companies to spearhead the integration.
The integration of GlobalWave and TM4Win will enable fleet managers to access timely and accurate information on the status of their fleets and maintain control of their assets via a comprehensive transport management and communications solution.
Maddocks TruckMate is an enterprise-wide, user-friendly software solution for mid-sized to large trucking companies that offers single-point billing entry, point-and-click dispatching, mobile communications, integrated accounting, and complete management reports. The software enables fleet managers to tailor the solution to fit their mode of trucking.
GlobalWave is an end-to-end two-way satellite data communications system that allows users automatic tracking and monitoring of mobile or fixed assets through up-to-the-minute information exchanges via geostationary and GPS satellites.
"The integrated solution offers a comprehensive system for trucking companies to control and streamline their business operations from dispatch through to accounting," said Zvi Huber, General Manager of Vistar Datacom and Vice President of NSI Global. "This integrated approach enables fleet managers to increase the efficiency of their operations, reduce trailer-to-tractor ratios, and minimize empty or unused trailers by keeping close tabs on their fleet."
