Empire Express Inc., Memphis, Tenn., has signed a contract to use Netwise and Netwise 400 from Integrated Decision Support Corporation of Richardson, Texas.
Netwise provides continuous profitability improvement. One of its functions is to remove 80% of management's time in preparing bids to its customers. This product also provides a Historical Analysis Module, which keeps a scoreboard on profitability. Additional functions include yield management, shipper "what-if" analysis, and optimization of the freight mix.
Netwise400 is a resident AS/400 system that provides the frontline with access to key yield management intelligence.
Empire Express, which operates more than 150 power units, chose IDSC's Netwise lane and rate analysis /decision support application after comparing other optimization products.
