A seminar to be held in five cities during April, May and June will cover issues related to security and driver screening in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Keller Technical Institute, the educational affiliate of J. J. Keller & Associates, and DAC/STA, the leading driver screening and substance testing organization, are putting on the seminar, "Transportation Security and Driver Screening."
The seminar addresses the latest on the Patriot Act, DOT's tough new security guidelines for hazmat carriers, and specific threats to the transportation industry such as terrorism and beyond.
The legal do's and don'ts of pre-employment alcohol and drug testing are included, as well as FMCSA regulations on screening and documentation, including the most current tools available to screen applicants faster, more completely and at less cost.
Also addressed are guidelines to avoid negligent hiring, how to conduct criminal background checks, and an update on changing legislation that directly affects the trucking industry.
The Transportation Security and Driver Screening will be presented in the following locations: Atlanta, April 9; Philadelphia, April 23; Chicago, April 25; Dallas, May 21; and Las Vegas, June 27.
There is a registration fee for attending.
