James B. Goetz will lead the truckstop organization NATSO this year as chairman.

Due to personal reasons, Jene Quirin, Alpine Auto/Truck Plaza, originally slated for the 2002 chairmanship, stepped down, fearing that he would not be able dedicate as much time and energy to the position as he had originally intended.
Founder and president of Goetz Companies in Portage, Wis., Goetz served as NATSO chairman in 1997 and was the 1994 Distinguished Member of the Year.
"There are few individuals in the industry who are as highly-respected as Jim Goetz," said NATSO President W. Dewey Clower.
