East West Motor Freight, a truckload carrier based in Selmer, Tenn., has selected Aether MobileMax2, Aether's wireless communications system, for its fleet.

East West Motor Freight, which specializes in hauling temperature-controlled commodities and dry freight across the United States, plans to complete the installation of the MobileMax2 system across its fleet by the end of the year.
Aether MobileMax2 automatically switches between terrestrial (land-based) and satellite communication without driver or dispatcher intervention. The MobileMax2 data terminal transmits data messages and GPS position reports and provides data on vehicle fault codes and driver performance.
"Our fleet travels across the United States, so its essential that we receive complete coverage in the most cost-effective manner," said Robert Chambers, President, East West Motor Freight. "MobileMax2 will serve to enhance our operational efficiency - an important factor in these times of economic distress and increased competitiveness."
