U.S. Xpress Selects FreshMaps For Intranet Vehicle Tracking

U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Chattanooga, Tenn., has selected FreshMaps Internet Mapping tools for an Intranet based vehicle tracking application.

Combined with Qualcomm's vehicle location technology, FreshMaps allows U.S. Xpress to display over their Intranet the location and status of their delivery trucks across the United States.
Norman Thomas, Chief Information Officer for U.S. Xpress, said the companies provided customized mapping components through the FreshMaps system, which can be integrated directly into the Intranet application U.S. Xpress is developing in house.
FreshMaps is an affordable web-based system that allows users to define map compositions and deploy them on the Internet. The resulting published maps offer a level of speed, interactivity, and quality not found in other systems, according to makers GroundControl GeoTechnologies and MapCloud Services.
