Rush Enterprises, San Antonio, which operates the largest network of Peterbilt dealerships in North America, has bought an oil and gas up-fitting business, medium-duty truck accessory and up-fitting business in Oklahoma City.

Rush bought Perfection Equipment Co. from its parent company, TransCom USA Management Co. L.P.
The acquisition will complement Rush's existing heavy-duty truck parts business in Oklahoma City.
The cash transaction was valued at approximately $4.2 million. Rush intends to integrate their operations into the Rush Truck Center system immediately.
Rush had revenues of $897.4 million during 2000, while Perfection had revenues of approximately $16.2 million for the same period.
"This acquisition will complement the existing services we provide to the oil and gas industry," said W. Marvin Rush, chairman and CEO, "and provide exciting opportunities in the parts distribution and light to medium duty up-fitting businesses."
