NTE has announced the appointment of five new members to its 2002 Customer Advisory Board.

The additions include senior logistics officials from large shippers Home Depot, Ingram Micro and Verizon.
The Customer Advisory Board advises NTE on the development of technology-based solutions for companies who use or provide freight transportation services. The board also serves as a networking and professional development forum for senior logistics officials who use or are considering the use of e-business applications.
The new appointments to the NTE Customer Advisory Board are:
  • Central Freight Lines, Eddie Sherman, director of pricing.
  • The Home Depot, Mitch Bentz, senior manager of transportation and logistics, western division.
  • Ingram Micro, Paul Warden, director of transportation and logistics.
  • KLLM, David Coblentz, director of national accounts.
  • Verizon Logistics. Tom Cartwright, general manager, transportation services.

The NTE Customer Advisory Board was established about a year ago to assist NTE as it provides technology-based solutions in the $590-billion freight transportation industry. The board meets formally several times per year and informally as required.
