FedEx Freight has added three new positions to its Memphis-based senior management staff in order to focus on the growing regional LTL market and coordinate with its sister companies in the FedEx family.

FedEx Freight is made up of two regional operating companies, American Freightways and Viking Freight.
Dennie C. Carey, formerly executive vice president of marketing at AF, is now vice president of marketing for FedEx Freight. Carey oversees the corporate sales function of AF and Viking's corporate account sales teams as well as managing strategic marketing for FedEx Freight.
Heading up the international sales effort for FedEx Freight is Edward C. Alderman, named director of international development. He comes to the organization from AF, where he was vice president of international/offshore sales development.
Robert H. Rhea takes on the role of vice president and general counsel and will oversee all legal and security areas for the FedEx Freight companies. Rhea, formerly with the Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell law firm in Memphis, spent the last seven years with FedEx Corp. and FedEx Express.
Carey's marketing staff will include Brian Marie, who will serve as business analysis and development manager. Most recently, Marie worked as a senior operations analyst for FedEx Corp. for three years.
