A new video explaining diesel engine retrofitting for cleaner emissions features transit bus operators, truck fleet owners, diesel fuel suppliers and government regulators.

The video was produced in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by the Diesel Technology Forum.
"The retrofitting of existing diesel engines to reduce emissions has been proven to be technically feasible as a means to provide clean air benefits," said Allen Schaeffer, the Forum's executive director. "This video program offers examples of successful retrofit programs and suggestions from a number of fleet owners and operators."
Entitled "The Quest for Clean Air," the video was produced to help support the EPA's campaign to retrofit 100,000 existing diesel engines. It features interviews with spokesmen from the New York City Transit Authority, BP, Applegate Trucking, the California Air Resources Board and the Sacramento Air Quality District, all focusing on diesel retrofit programs.
A more detailed description of the video program along with several video clips and information on availability can be found on the Diesel Technology Forum's Retrofit Video Web page at www.dieselforum.org/retrofit/video.html.
