The latest truck-related manufacturer to cut back on worker costs is Cummins.

The Columbus, Ind.-based engine maker is cutting pay for domestic non-union employees and cutting weekly work hours from 40 to 36 for some union workers.
In exchange for the pay cut through the end of the year, Cummins is offering workers four more paid vacation days.
The company is also cutting back on travel and other spending.
The cuts were in response to lower demand for Cummins products.
