USFreightways has added a guaranteed delivery component to its newly designed portfolio of less-than-truckload services.
USF Guaranteed has been available within select regional markets. Now it is offered through the company's entire nationwide network of regional carriers.
USF Guaranteed, activated simply with an adhesive label or written bill of lading notation, offers guaranteed on-time delivery by 5 p.m. local time. The customer is notified upon delivery and in the instance of a known delay. If the load doesn't get there on time, a zero-dollar invoice is issued; the customer doesn't have to file a
Claim.
"Many of our customers have implemented tighter inventory controls as part of their sophisticated supply chain management processes," said Bob Fasso, president of the USFreightways Regional Carrier Group. "For a small premium, USF Guaranteed offers the added assurance that their shipments will be delivered on-time as expected."
