Truckers traveling near Louisiana State University's Tiger Stadium Saturday will have to find an alternate route due to increased security measures for its football game with Florida.
Truck Traffic To Be Rerouted For LSU Football Game

According to the Louisiana Motor Truck Association, truck traffic will be prohibited on State Highway 30 (Nicholson Drive) and River Road from the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Police will be assisting at outlying intersections to redirect commercial traffic to the interstate.
The association recommends that trucks transporting hazardous materials to destinations on Highway 30 between the cities of Baton Rouge and Gonzales use the Highway 30 exit on Interstate 10 in Gonzales, because Highway 73 between I-10 and Highway 74 is prohibited to hazardous material transportation.
Highway 73 is a popular truck route to Highway 30 and the chemical facilities in that area, according to LMTA.
For all other football games, truck traffic will be prohibited at least three hours prior to the game and at least two hours after the game at the same locations.
The increased security for the area is not unusual in the wake of the attacks on the Untied States. Since then security has been greatly increased at most large public gatherings, including a ban on airplane flights over stadiums.
