TransCore has released TransCore Exchange, formerly named DATconexus, with new private network options.

A year ago, DAT Services launched a load-matching service called DATconexus. The service brought the massive freight database of DAT, the original freight-matching service that began on truckstop TV monitors, to an Internet marketplace where shipper and carrier could find each other. In February, truckstop owner Jubitz Corp. of Portland, Ore., sold DAT to TransCore, a Dallas-based technology company.
Under the TransCore Exchange name, expanded capabilities enable customers to trade in a private network and under their own brands, with the TransCore Exchange's online look and feel modified to reflect customers' brands.
The new program answers customers' requests for personalized, private trading networks to increase company brand recognition and business development. Customers can create a private online network for regular contracted business with established groups of partners. When a customer's need exceeds its partners' freight or equipment availability, a single click of the mouse can immediately escalate his offer of freight or equipment from his private network to more than 20,000 participants in TransCore's DAT Services network. This option provides access to all fleets, drivers, and intermediaries monitoring the freight-exchange network online or on the 1,200 DAT truck-stop monitors.
The TransCore Exchange Trading Community offers two pricing options: bundled packages with four different options, conveniently priced to provide a predictable monthly invoice; or pay-as-you-go pricing for the more infrequent user.
