Dana Corp., Toledo, Ohio, will not renew its co-sponsorship of a team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series after the current season.

Dana has co-sponsored its Dana Dodge truck in the Craftsman Truck Series since 1996. The team grew from a fledgling operation into a challenger for the current series championship. After 22 of 24 events, driver Joe Ruttman is in second position in the series standings, 97 points behind the current leader.
"Our six-year run has been a very rewarding experience," said Bill Carroll, president of Dana's Automotive Systems Group. "To participate in growing a team from a beginner into a championship contender has been tremendously satisfying to all members of the Dana Racing Team. We've also enjoyed working with Bobby Hamilton, Joe Ruttman, and the rest of the crew."
Dana's involvement in motorsports has served as a proving ground for many of the company's products. Dana driveshafts, engine products, brake products, and filtration products are standard equipment on many NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Winston Cup Series, and Busch Series vehicles.
