A truck detour is expected to be removed today from the Bishop Ford Freeway (I-94) bridge in the Chicago area.

The $11.3 million project involves the rehabilitation of six bridges along the Bishop Ford between the I-57 connector ramp and Stony Island Avenue in Chicago. Traffic had been reduced to a single lane in each direction, and a truck detour imposed, since April.
In addition, the eastbound I-94 exit ramp to 103rd Street will be closed until the project is completed on Oct. 31. Motorists will be detoured to 111th Street. This closure is necessary to return the ramp to its original configuration before it was modified to accommodate the truck detour.
