USF Distribution has opened new service centers in Houston and Lakeland, Fla.
The company says these operations will provide a full range of logistics services, including overnight distribution and consolidation, and cross-docking to their respective markets.
The Houston location, operating a 70,000-square-foot facility, will serve the South Texas market, including Austin, Laredo and San Antonio. The Lakeland location will provide coverage to Central and South Florida including the Miami, Orlando and Tampa areas, and will operate from a modern 65,000-square-foot facility.
With the addition of these service centers to our network, USF Distribution now provides direct service to 55 percent of the major market US population, according to USF officials.
The company currently has 17 service centers located in 15 metropolitan markets.
