Transport International Pool, Devon, Pa., has bought all the trailer assets and lease porftolio of Mississauga, Ont.-based Action Trailer Leasing.
TIP will fold Action's 3,600 trailers into its Canadian fleet, and will also consolidate Action Trailer Leasing branches located in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Moncton with TIP's Canadian branch network.
"This acquisition is consistent with our strategy. It also gives us the opportunity to better meet the needs of our new and current customers throughout Canada," TIP North America president Chris Hines said in a press release.
Action said it would continue to operate its Utility Trailer dealerships in Ontario and Quebec, as well as rent a limited number of trailers on a short-term basis.
