PocketMail Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., has introduced the PocketMail Composer, the company's latest handheld e-mail device.
PocketMail Offers New Mobile E-mail Device

The PocketMail Composer is both a pocket-sized organizer and an e-mail appliance that lets you send and receive e-mail, anytime, anywhere, over virtually any telephone without the need for a phone jack, cradle or cable. PocketMail Composer users simply dial an 800 number, hold the device against the telephone handset and push one button. The Composer can also be used to send faxes.
Earlier models are compatible with land line or analog cellular phones. This new product works with mobile phones as well. The battery-powered PocketMail Composer is about the size of many standard organizers and features a complete keyboard, organizer functions including address book, scheduling calendar, calculator, memo pad and to-do list.
According to PocketMail, the PocketMail Composer retails for $99. The necessary PocketMail service costs $14.95 a month.
