NTE is making it easier for carriers to get backhauls and other freight.

Once a carrier books a shipment and notifies NTE of delivery arrangements, NTE's system will automatically present additional load opportunities to them - both backhauls and continuous move opportunities - based on the first shipment's destination location. Previously, carriers could search and book shipments separately, stringing together round trip and multi-segment shipment opportunities.
Carriers who take advantage of the new continuous move capability can sort potential moves according to their business rules and preferences. For example, they can identify shipment opportunities by revenue-per-mile, out-of-route miles and other criteria. Based on this direction from the carriers, NTE's system automatically presents shipment opportunities to them and does the calculations, thereby streamlining the online procurement process.
Carriers will be presented with load opportunities that meet two criteria: the second load's pickup location is no more than 60 miles from the first load's destination location or is on the return trip; and the pickup time can be met based on the truck's original drop-off location. The system will continue to offer shipment opportunities each time a carrier books and confirms the prior delivery.
