The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will train federal and state investigators on the use of onboard recording devices using Cadec's Mobius TTS onboard computing system.

In an ongoing effort to stay up-to-date on the trucking industry's use of Intelligent Transportation Systems, the FMCSA will train officials on the use of onboard computers for automatic driver hours of service reporting, among other things, according to Cadec.
Dennis McGee, special agent for the FMCSA and training instructor, noted that the Mobius unit is the only recording device they have seen that shows the hours of service records graphically during roadside inspections.
The Mobius TTS uses Windows CE and is used by a variety of for-hire and private fleets. For more information, visit www.cadec.com.
