Great Dane is making the Meritor Tire Inflation System by P.S.I. standard equipment on its Classic Refrigerated Van Lines.
The system requires no driver intervention and is designed to constantly monitor tire pressure and automatically retain the predetermined tire inflation settings. Some tire systems use tire monitors that alert the driver that a tire is losing air pressure, but require the driver to locate a service facility to inflate the tire.
The system received the R&D 100 Award in 2000 for one of the top innovations across all industries in the U.S. by R&D Magazine.
