Phone Online Inc. of Knoxville, Tenn., has changed its name to Airtuit.

As PhoneOnline the wireless technology company provided truckload carrier LandStar System with trucking's first major WAP-based wireless data communications system. WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol, a specification for wireless devices.
Phone Online and Landstar built a system that allows Landstar's 8,000 contracted drivers to search for available loads, check calls, check their card balances, and more using WAP-enabled mobile phones. Landstar launched the application last year.
According to a company announcement, Airtuit began using its new name and logo on June 18. The company's web site reflects the name change.
