Siebel Systems, a provider of applications software, has announced that INTTRA, the container shipping portal, has standardized on Siebel eBusiness Applications.
INTTRA's objective is to make it easier for customers to do business with containerized ocean carriers and service providers.
In the past, customers wanting to organize a container shipment were faced with a fragmented, complex and expensive ordering process.
But customers can communicate with INTTRA through the Internet, e-mail, telephone and fax, with 24-hour assisted and unassisted service covering all container booking requests and confirmation, track and trace, exception reporting, activity plans, bill of lading information, and other reports and statistics.
