Carroll Independent Fuel Co.of Baltimore will use GeoCom TMS Routing technology to optimize routing for its 60-truck delivery fleet.
Carroll delivers home heating oil, kerosene, gasoline, propane and lubricants.
According to an announcement from GeoCom, initial estimates call for a savings of 12% on Carroll delivery costs. The TMS routing engine will optimize the sequence of the stops and also free up dispatch time that is currently spent on sorting tickets. The architecture of the system will allow Carroll to consolidate dispatching and increase control of the process.
GeoCom TMS is a transportation technology company with sales offices in Atlanta and research facilities in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
