Teletrac Inc., Vista, Calif., which describes itself as a provider of wireless metropolitan location and data solutions, will use Numerex data networks for a variety of wireless location and communications services.

Teletrac is a subsidiary of British-based Trafficmaster Plc, which announced the deal with Numerex and will use the resulting operations to expand its telematics offerings in North America.
Atlanta-based Numerex Corp. is perhaps best known for its Cellemtry Data Service, a provider of two-way ground-based communications. Among Cellemtry’s customers is @Track Communications of Richardson, Texas, which uses Cellemtry for its TrackWare trailer tracking system.
Among Teletrac’s customers are Emery Air Freight, Brinks Inc., and many private fleets.
"Trafficmaster, through its Teletrac subsidiary, will be better positioned to provide its mobile asset customers with location and telematic data throughout Numerex's extensively-deployed North American network," a Numerex executive commented.
