Arrow Truck Sales, Kansas City, Mo., has created a new position to help target fleet and business-to-business sales.

George Papp has been promoted to "director of fleet sales and marketing" at the used-truck network, owned by Volvo Trucks North America. In addition to launching a used truck sales program for truck fleet operations, Papp will also be responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs for B-to-B and Internet sales.
Before coming to Arrow more than a year ago, Papp spent 17 years in truck sales, the last 13 at Westfall Volvo/GMC in Kansas City, Mo., where he successfully sold to fleet customers, according to Arrow.
Arrow's goal is to reach the fleet buyer who may never have considered buying used trucks or who may want to supplement new truck purchases with used trucks.
Papp will also be responsible for Internet sales. Arrow maintains an online inventory of more than 3,000 pre-owned trucks on its website at www.arrowtruck.com.
Arrow is not the only used truck organization targeting fleet buyers. Ryder System and Freightliner have made similar moves this month.
