ADESA Corp.’s Commercial Remarketing Services - the heavy-duty truck and equipment arm of the ADESA auction chain - has formed a partnership with the Used Truck Association.

The alliance is intended to further the UTA’s work promoting professionalism in the used truck industry and to strengthen the relationship between truck dealers and the auctions that sell their vehicles.
ADESA has committed to sponsor various UTA functions, as well as help raise awareness of the association through a variety of efforts aimed at increasing its membership and the buyer base at the auctions.
The UTA-ADESA partnership is part of a 10-point ADESA Remarketing Industry Group plan that includes a pledge to host dealer-only sales at all five ADESA commercial vehicle auctions. ADESA is the first auction group to make this commitment to the industry.
“ADESA strongly supports the dealer network within the used truck industry,” commented David Gresens, the company’s director of Commercial Remarketing Services. “This partnership will help UTA grow through special, members-only benefits at ADESA auctions. We’re looking forward to working closely with UTA to help its members build their businesses and in turn support ours with the change to dealer-only auctions.”
Headquartered in Indianapolis, ADESA operates 55 wholesale vehicle auctions and five commercial truck sales strategically located across the United States and Canada.
Also based in Indianapolis, the UTA has more than 200 members throughout the U.S. and Canada. For more information, visit www.uta.org.
