Glacier Computer of Nashua, N.H., has announced that LTL carrier American Freightways, of Harrison, Ark., has contracted to buy 142 rugged computer terminals for forklift and fixed-mount warehouse applications.

Glacier, a new company, currently markets two rugged computers for industrial use, the I-Station and the M-Station. Both models are Windows compatible; both feature color touch screens.
American Freightways, with more than 17,000 employees and 28,000 pieces of equipment, is an LTL subsidiary of FedEx Corp.
