As it prepares for its first show of the season this weekend, the National Assn. of Show Trucks has new officers, new members on the board of directors, and a new direction
after its annual meeting held during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
Leading the group this year is President Matthew Brian Hitchcock, MBH Trucking, and Vice President Chuck Kemner, Peace River Trucking.
"We are looking forward to helping NAST grow and we're lining up a lot of great shows this year," Hitchcock said.
Hitchcock and Kemner defeated David Sweetman and Neal Holsomback for the top slots.
Dan Feeley, NMMC Specialized Transportation, is holding the interim Treasurer position until it is filled permanently. The Secretary position is also open.
New board members are Darryl Hicks (Penray Corp.), Clarence Saulnier, Thomas Smith, Richard Hemchak, and Brenda Nance. They join Randy Kaylor (Pro-Fab Associates), the sole holdout from last year's board.
The group now has a permanent office location with a part-time assistant to handle phone calls, e-mail, and memberships. "Our vision is that this is something that will help our members and answer their questions," Hitchcock said.
The new contact information is: National Assn. of Show Trucks, 2586 N. Stockbridge Road, P.O. Box 600, Webberville, MI 48892. Phone is (517) 521-2323 and fax is (517) 521-4503.
