ArvinMeritor announced that its San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico will now produce commercial truck wheels
in addition to the passenger and light truck wheels already made there.
The recently completed expansion of its wheel assembly facility added the production and machinery to produce steel wheels up to 22.5 inches in diameter.
The expanded capability to produce larger wheels for the commercial market allows the company to reach virtually all OEM customers with steel wheels. The addition of wheels to the commercial market complements the company's wheel-end offering of brake systems, hubs and drums.
