On-board computer maker Cadec Corp., Londonderry, N.H., and Aether Systems Inc., Owens Mills, Md., announced that Aether’s Fusion will provide wide area wireless connectivity for Cadec’s new Mobius onboard computer.

Fusion is a modular wireless architecture that enables data exchange across combinations of network, hardware and software systems.
Cadec’s Mobius runs the Windows CE operating system on an Intel StrongArm RISC processor and offers vehicle monitoring, automated DOT logs and fuel tax reporting, and multiple communications options, including short range RF (Radio Frequency) which integrates with the PPT 2700 handheld computer from Symbol Technologies.
Aether Fusion will provide the long-range, or wide-area, communication between truck and dispatch or back office over whatever communications network the customer chooses.
