An Ohio trucking company could be fines more than $380,000 for allegedly transporting a super-heavy load without a permit.

A sheriff's deputy spotted the truck on its 50-mile trip from Cedar Rapids to Traer March 30. The truck, loaded with an industrial machine press, weighed more than 200 tons.
Richard Albrecht, president of R and J Rigging, and Buster Ray Casey, owner of Casey Enterprises, both in Springfield, Ohio, face 33 citations, according to The Des Moines Register.
Officials said a permit would not have been granted for transporting such a heavy load on the number of axles involved. Inspectors are examining all bridges and roads traveled by the truck for possible damage.
The fine is believed to be the highest in state history for hauling overweight loads.
