Bob Helms, formerly the President of TruckersB2B, has joined Pegasus Transtech of Tampa, Fla., as chairman of the board.
Helms was a board member at Pegasus, which markets document and retrieval technology to the trucking industry.
Helms recently left TruckersB2b after parent company, Celadon Group, announced the web-based buying cooperative would turn cash positive in May. Celadon operates an Indianapolis-based truckload fleet.
Before his year at TruckersB2B, Helms was President of Transcommunications, Inc., Chattanooga, Tenn., where he helped launch CabCard products for drivers, including in-cab driver e-mail for fleets equipped with Qualcomm satellite communications.
Prior to that, Helms worked for Qualcomm in San Diego in various capacities. He holds patents as co-inventor of three mobile communications technologies.
