Saia will be opening in new terminals near Jackson, Miss., and Greenville, S.C., by the end of the month.

The regional less-than-truckload carrier, owned by Yellow Corp., says growth spurred the moves.
"We believe these moves will position us to be the leader in the one- and two-day markets in these busy growth sections of the South," said President and CEO Rick O'Dell.
The Jackson terminal, actually located in nearby Richmond, features 37 doors, 13 more than the old facility. The terminal also includes a maintenance shop with a wash bay, 2,000 square feet of office space, 11,520 square feet of dock space, and parking for 60 trailers, 35 tractors and about 50 cars.
The Greenville terminal is moving to Greer, S.C. The new terminal has 38 doors, 14 more than the old location. There will be parking space for about 100 trailers on the eight acres.
