A long-awaited Flying J travel plaza has opened in London, Ontario, Canada.

The truckstop on Highway 401 was supposed to be Flying J's first location in Canada, according to the London Free Press, but battles with neighbors over zoning changes delayed the process. In the three years since, Flying J has already opened two other locations in Canada while plans for the London facility were going through the planning and approval process.
The Flying J includes diesel and gas pumps, showers, laundry, lounge, a restaurant, fast-food outlets and a convenience store.
Despite the zoning battle, Flying J executives said during the opening ceremony that people have been very friendly in the area.
