The National Association of Show Trucks has named Roxane Campbell executive director,
replacing Bob Guy, who resigned his position last month.
One of the founders of rpm and rpm eXtra magazines, Campbell served as the magazines' editorial director for almost six years. Since leaving rpm, she has developed a consulting, writing/editing and marketing services company and serves several trucking industry clients. She has experience in advertising design, newsletter production, a variety of writing (press releases, speeches, news articles, feature articles, technical articles), in addition to having extensive legal, accounting, bookkeeping and trade show and special event experience.
"I am both honored and excited to have the opportunity to join NAST in the role of executive director," Campbell said. "The organization has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years, while at the same time bringing much improvement and substance to the world of truck competitions. Membership has increased, and the reputation of NAST has attracted an outstanding group of people to comprise the board of directors. I can't imagine a better time to come on board with NAST, and I look forward to what the coming year promises to bring."
NAST has also unveiled a revamped web site at www.nastshowtrucks.org.
Currently, the site showcases photos from previous NAST shows and links to web sites for the Stars & Stripes series and Paul K. Young memorial show at the upcoming Mid-America Trucking Show. NAST President Dave Sweetman describes the site as a continual work in progress. Photos will be added and exchanged to keep the site fresh. As show results are announced, winners will be added and photos updated, as well.
