Representatives and decision-makers from government, the heavy-duty vehicle industry, and energy companies are headed to Arizona to discuss the future of the heavy-duty vehicle industry.

Several truck and component manufacturers will make presentations at a conference this week to address trends in advanced propulsion technologies and future fuels for heavy-duty vehicles at a meeting titled "Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles for the 21st Century: Exploring Trends in Advanced Technologies and Fuels."
Representatives from Freightliner, Volvo Trucks, International Truck & Engine Co., Oshkosh Truck Co. and Allison Electric Drive will speak at the meeting, to be held March 21-23 in Chandler, Ariz. Also making presentations are the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Energy Technology Lab, the American Trucking Associations, the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition and the National Biodiesel Board, and others. The meeting is sponsored by WestStart and the U.S. Army National Automotive Center.
