Web-based logistics software provider CarrierPoint announced its software is now available for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows NT operating systems.

The applications also run in a Sun Solaris UNIX environment.
"We are very excited about our support for Windows 2000 and Windows NT," said John Thomson, chief executive officer of CarrierPoint. "Porting our applications to Microsoft platforms allows us to piggyback a growing sector of the market that is turning to Microsoft-based servers as its platform of choice."
Of course, CarrierPoint offers a web-based trucking market that has attracted many customers in the flatbed sector. The company began offering its market and logistics software for sale in February. That allows customers such as large corporations or third-party logistics companies to install and run CarrierPoint software on their own computers.
